At AJ's Academy of Dance & Drama, our mission is to inspire a love of dance in every student. We believe that dance is a powerful form of self-expression that can help students develop confidence, discipline, and creativity.

We offer a wide range of dance lessons for students of all ages and abilities, including ballet, jazz, contemporary, and street, with plenty in between. Our classes are designed to provide a well-rounded dance education that focuses on technique, artistry, performance and most importantly fun!

Our Environment is made up of experienced dance professionals who are passionate about teaching and dedicated to helping students reach their full potential. They create a supportive and nurturing environment where students can thrive.
CELEBRATING 20 YEARS OF DANCE
We're not just a dance school, we are a family!
AJ‘s Academy of Dance and Drama was first established in September 2004. In December of the following year the Academy performed its first ever show with fewer than 35 students.
Since then however the school has developed and grown to over 150 pupils.
The Academy puts on 2 shows a year, one in the Summer and also a Christmas show in December.
Our Summer shows are held at The Hazlitt Theatre in Maidstone and are the highlight of the year.
Our 2025 Summer Show will take place in June, again at the Hazlitt Theatre.
In the last 20 years we have seen hundreds of students young and more mature pass through our doors and we are certain that we have something for everyone to enjoy.
